Graduate Students

Interested in pursuing an advanced degree in Entomology studying arthropods in tree fruit systems in the Wilson Lab? Capacity to take on new graduate students depends on available funding, the number of students currently engaged in my program, and alignment of research interests. To inquire about current capacity, please send an email explaining how your prior experience and future interests would be a good fit. Information about the graduate program in Entomology at MSU can be found here.

Undergraduate Students

Each Spring we hire undergraduate students and recent graduates as Research Assistants to work up to 40 hours/week in the summer months in the lab and on fruit farms and research stations across Michigan. We expect applicants to be reliable, love being outdoors, willing to work in a team, and have an interest in learning more about insects and agroecology. Research Assistants gain both laboratory and field experience while assisting in the set up and maintenance of field experiments, collecting and sorting samples, entering data, and rearing insects in lab colonies. To inquire about open positions, contact Dr. Juan Huang. Announcements are typically posted on MSU Handshake at the beginning of the Spring Semester.

Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral positions, when available, are posted on the Careers @ MSU website.
