My entomology experience has primarily been in the area of Integrated Pest Management (IPM). Prior to working in tree fruit entomology I concentrated on the management of insect pests of field crops. I also participated in the biological control of purple loosestrife project. I began working in tree fruit entomology in the fall of 1999. My responsibilities include conducting on-farm and small plot research in the southwest part of the state. Our research group continues to evaluate new insect management methods which will ultimately benefit fruit producers in Michigan. I am interested in helping growers to adopt and adapt IPM strategies to their own farm. My office is at the Trevor Nichols Research Complex in Fennville, one of our many Agricultural Experiment Stations found throughout Michigan.
